John Herr

Senior Software Engineer

John Herr is a Senior Data Engineer at the Office of Information Technology, where he specializes in data-rich application development. At Duke, he has worked across multiple units, including roles in partnership with the School of Medicine, Law, and work supporting Trinity College's administrative and research tools. Before joining Duke, John worked independently doing IT consulting, web design, and user interaction design. He holds a B.F.A. from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Outside of work he enjoys cooking for his grown children, and surfing.
