Sheri is a software developer with over 30 years of experience at Duke University. Currently serving as Technical Program Manager in OIT, she helps manage the Code+ program and mentors undergrads in developing web applications.
Throughout her tenure at Duke, Sheri has held diverse roles, such as an informaticist at Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) & senior clinical software developer at Duke Health Technology Solutions (DHTS). Her expertise lies in backend systems, relational database design and web development, with a technical stack that includes Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Oracle & PostgreSQL. She's particularly recognized for her work in clinical research informatics, having championed & led high-impact projects such as the AACT (Aggregate Analysis of ClinicalTrials.gov) database, which aims to improve public access to clinical trial data.
