Student Schedule Visualizer for DukeHub
Description
Year: 2022
A team of students will work with Duke’s Office of Information Technology, Student Information Services & Systems (SISS) Office, and key stakeholders across campus to develop an app that allows students to build their academic schedule (courses/sections) and see various visualizations about the courses (for example, enrollment caps, diversity of the subject areas they study, and the expected travel time during a day based on the classes selected). The team will review and consider the features and functions that were developed in a proof-of-concept application created by a team of students in STA/ISS 313: Advanced Data Visualization.
