Unlocking Insights & Visualizing Proteomics Data for Researchers

Description

This project aims to create an online dashboard to help biologists and researchers analyze and visualize complex proteomics data without needing coding skills. Proteomics involves studying proteins in biological samples to understand processes like drug mechanisms or differences between healthy and diseased tissues. The dashboard will provide an intuitive interface for standard analyses, such as differential abundance, sample distributions, principal component analysis, and heatmaps, enabling researchers across disciplines to easily generate insights and publication-quality figures.

A team of students will work with Duke’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) and faculty experts to define project requirements and develop the dashboard. The tool will be used by researchers, including those with limited data science experience, to advance discoveries in biology, medicine, and other fields.
